My Role: As the Lead UX Researcher, I was responsible for conducting user research, gathering insights, and translating them into actionable design solutions. I led the team through various research methods, collaborated closely with stakeholders, and ensured that the final website design aligned with user needs and business goals.
Problem: Habit Harmony needed a website to showcase its services and engage with users. Without a user-friendly website, potential customers struggle to understand the value proposition and navigate the offerings, hindering adoption and growth.
Insights & Findings: Through user interviews, surveys, and analytics data analysis, several key insights were uncovered:
Users were seeking convenient and accessible resources to adopt healthier habits.
There was a lack of awareness about the startup's services and how they could help users achieve their health goals.
Existing users expressed frustration with the complexity of navigating the startup's offerings and accessing relevant content.
Solution: Based on the insights gathered, the solution involved developing a responsive website with a clear focus on user experience and engagement. The website aims to educate users about healthy habits, provide health coaching, and foster a sense of community.
Research:
Conducted user interviews to understand pain points, motivations, and behaviors related to health and wellness.
Distributed surveys to gather quantitative data on user preferences, habits, and attitudes towards health-related services.
Analyzed competitors' websites to identify industry trends, best practices, and areas for differentiation.
User Persona:
User Study: Conducted usability testing sessions with a diverse group of participants to evaluate the effectiveness of the website design, navigation, and content organization. Gathered feedback on user interactions, pain points, and areas for improvement.
User Testing:
Identified usability issues such as confusing navigation labels and unclear call-to-action buttons.
Received positive feedback on the personalized recommendations feature and community forum functionality.
Iterated design elements based on user feedback to enhance clarity and ease of use.
Competitive Analysis: Analyzed competitors' websites to benchmark against industry standards, and identify gaps, and opportunities for differentiation. Evaluated design, content strategy, and user experience features to inform our website's development.
Journey Mapping:
Qualitative Analysis: Reviewed qualitative data from user interviews and usability testing sessions to identify recurring themes, patterns, and insights. Prioritized findings based on impact and feasibility for implementation.
Iteration: Iteratively refined the website design based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and ongoing usability testing results. Made adjustments to navigation, content layout, and visual elements to improve clarity and user engagement.
Impact:
Improved user engagement rates.
Positive feedback from users on the website's usability, content relevance, and overall experience.
Enhanced brand perception and recognition as a trusted resource for promoting healthy habits.
